A Work in Progress
I am a full-time PSEO student at the University of Northwestern in St. Paul, Minnesota. I created this blog to display my love for art and writing in many forms, something I hope to incorporate into my major. This is also a way to keep in touch with me a little bit, as I will try to post a few updates or things God is doing in my life every once in a while. I hope you enjoy viewing my work!
Have you ever been proud of something you created? When you are, you protect it, admire it, and show it off to others; you could even say you love it. Now ask yourself this, are you proud of who you are? Even if you can't say yes to that question, I know someone who is: God your Creator. Imagine creating something so intricate as the way our own bodies were designed. God loves you simply because he created you, and you were created to reflect His creativity. I love picturing God as my Creator because I too like to create. I can relate to that sense of pride we feel after taking something ordinary and simple, and making it into something unique and beautiful. I myself am his handiwork- we all are. He takes our messed-up, insignificant lives and uses them in ways so much greater than we will ever understand. If we allow Him into our lives, we are his works in progress. Let Him finish the project He started in you.
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." Psalm 139: 13 - 16
